Mission Statement: The Health and
Wellness Ministry Team will provide a supportive framework within which
the congregation, partnering with volunteers and health care providers,
seeks to enhance the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness of our
community, especially during times of change, illness, and crisis.
Responsibilities:
1) Sub teams; 3D Weight-Loss and POPS
2) Blood Pressure Screenings in February, April, and June
3) Medical Assistive Directive available as needed to members of our
congregation
4) Life Line Screening
5) Education via Bulletin Board and Newsletter
Goals:
1) Coffee host twice yearly
2) Flu shots given in the fall
3) Establish a presence in the new education building (space for
equipment, resource materials, and one-on-one conversations with
individuals in the congregation.
4) Establish written policies and procedures
5) Provide opportunities for outreach to the community.
