Hosanna! Headlines and
Events
2009
Updated: Thursday, December 3, 2009
December 6 is the first Sunday of the month. Please remember to Fill-A-Sack with food, paper products, cleaning supplies, disposable diapers and wipes. Bring-it-Back on Sunday. All products will be donated to MLM or InAsMuch Ministry.
Thanks for Karen Schol for making 2 deliveries to InAsMuch during the month of November!
Thanks to the nineteen members who rang the bells for the Salvation Army Kettle Drive on Monday!
Thanks to the congregation for the good response to our request for items used in the Hygiene Kits for Love, INC!. A total of 35 Hygiene kits were assembled and delivered during the month of November. Many homeless men, women and children will benefit from your generosity!
Your generous response to Stephanie Collins has been overwhelming. With the funds donated, Stephanie will be able to rent a moving truck and pay for many of the moving expenses. A good beginning to a fresh start!! Some, who were away during the Thanksgiving weekend, have asked how to make a donation. Lori Hash will be at services Sunday to accept any contributions you may wish to make. Special blessings to Barbie Thompson, Pastor Patricia, Marjorie Yates, Karen Orrill, Jeanine Stubs, Eric Jabs, Donna and Gene Jacobson, Lori Hash and Gary Forister for helping with Stephanie’s garage sale. She was able to lighten her load and add a few dollars to her kitty. A real feat over a holiday week end!
On Saturday, December 12, we will be helping load the moving truck for the trek to Michigan. If you are around and can help, please let us know. We’ll start around 9:00. A light lunch will be served!
Reminder: HOSANNA! is once again gathering new hats, mittens, and blankets for the MLM Christmas Store. Please bring your donations to the church by noon, Sunday, December 6. These donations will be delivered to the MLM Christmas Store ingathering Sunday afternoon. Please place your donations on the table in front of the Social Ministry bulletin board in the fellow ship hall.

PRAYER CHAIN UPDATE
Our Prayer Chain makes a difference! God hears and answers our
prayers. Our Prayer Chain members pray not only for requests
received on Sundays, but those submitted throughout the week to
Cathy Baker.
You may email your requests to her or contact her via telephone.
If you would like to be a member of our Prayer Chain, please contact
Cathy.
Beginning February 4th, when
someone needs to be placed on the Prayer List or Prayer Chain, continue
to write them on the Prayer Concern sheet in the Narthex on Sunday
mornings and then the information will be forwarded to Cathy Baker, by
the Administrative Assistant on Monday morning. Sue will then
forward the information to all persons on the Prayer Chain for prayer.
(We are also re-starting the Phone Tree Prayer Chain and these persons
will also be notified.) Sue will keep a list of persons needing
prayer and will add new persons as they are given to her. On one
side of The Prayer Concern List that is placed in the Bulletin each week
will be the persons named from the previous Sunday only under the
heading "This week we hold in prayer...", on the other side will be
names of those "We continue to pray for..."
